  • What areas do you service for interpreting? Tasmania-wide including Hobart, Launceston, Devonport, Burnie and country areas
  • What areas do you service for translating? Australia-Wide
  • Do you offer on-site interpreting? yes, this is our speciality. Both short notice and pre-booked and any time of day or night
  • Do you offer phone interpreting? yes, but mainly pre-booked although we can normally provide a phone interpreter within 10 minutes
  • Are your translators NAATI accredited? All our translators are NAATI accredited (except for languages where NAATI does not provide accreditation)
  • Are your interpreters NAATI accredited? We employ virtually all of the NAATI accredited interpreters in Tasmania and can provide NAATI accredited interpreters for most of the high demand languages if requested
  • Are your interpreters fully insured employees or sub-contractors? All our interpreters are employed, insured and covered by our professional indemnity, public liability and workers compensation insurance. There is no risk to YOU, unlike agencies who provide sub-contractors who may not be insured. You may wish to check if using other agencies.
  • What guarantees do you provide as to the quality of your interpreters? Under our SERVICE GUARANTEE if you consider the interpreting job is not done well or our service was not acceptable then the job is free as well as the next nominated job.
  • Are you an ethical business? Amigo‚Äôs is a member of the Australian Association of Language Companies and must adhere to their Code of Ethics. All interpreters are trained to adhere to the AUSIT Code of Ethics and failure to adhere is grounds for termination of employment as stated in their employment deed. We pay our interpreters above-industry wages.
  • What is the booking process? Through the website (on homepage), email to bookings@amigostranslate.com.au or phone in for after hours and urgent bookings on 62285480, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
